How to Develop an Oversized Men’s T-Shirt

How to Develop an Oversized Men’s T-Shirt

Oversized Is a Pattern, Not a Size-Up

A good oversized tee is not simply a regular T-shirt graded two sizes larger. Shoulder drop, chest width, body length and sleeve opening need to work as one silhouette.

Match the Pattern to the GSM

A 180 GSM oversized tee drapes differently from a 260 GSM one. Heavier fabrics usually need more deliberate proportions and stronger collar construction.

Control the Shoulder and Sleeve

The shoulder seam position and sleeve length strongly influence whether the result looks intentional, boxy or simply too large.

Approve the Physical Sample

Fit photos and measurements should be reviewed together before bulk because small changes in shoulder, length or collar can change the overall appearance.
